SPEAKER 2: Hey, I'm Danny.

SPEAKER 3: Black and I'm John Newman.

SPEAKER 4: Welcome to Card Mensches.

SPEAKER 4: Hello, welcome to episode 36 of Card Mensches. I am Danny Black and that is John Newman. What's going on, Joe.

SPEAKER 3: Yo and Howdy. How is everyone doing?

SPEAKER 4: Welcome to the eighties card show.

SPEAKER 4: I think tonight's tonight's I, I think a fun one. I want a lot of input from, from, from the chat room.

SPEAKER 4: But, we definitely wanna talk about, you know, where to buy and sell cards and, and the marketplaces.

SPEAKER 3: You know, it should allow.

SPEAKER 4: That should be the intro that, that is halfway patent that I'Ll call it halfway, halfway patent.

SPEAKER 3: But he got me 100.

SPEAKER 4: Real, real quick, Steven. I, I know I owe your response. I was checking with my wife. It's my bet. I, I know I owe your response. Sorry about that.

SPEAKER 4: So we're talking about online marketplaces and one of the things I wanted to do and I'm just gonna let this, this world for a little bit is who am I forgetting? How many places are there? And where do you guys like to buy and sell cards?

SPEAKER 4: And what makes a good marketplace? It's one thing just to say where we go, but why do we go there? What do we like about that marketplace? Maybe what would we design if we were designing our own marketplace?

SPEAKER 4: So these are my thoughts, Newman.

SPEAKER 3: Well, I guess my first question, you know, is like, what's the definition of a marketplace? Is heritage auction a marketplace or is it where you have to be able to like buy it now? Type of price? That'S A fair question because there are a lot of market like every auction house in a sense is a marketplace you can acquire cards there. You can, you can sell your cards there.

SPEAKER 4: Some of them have flat sales, some of them have fun.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, I think that would be, that would be my definition of a marketplace. Like you can, you can buy something two minutes after you log on to the site potential.

SPEAKER 4: So you're saying we're getting rid of heritage.

SPEAKER 3: Well, yeah, because you let heritage and it's, it's like the hall of fame, right? You let heritage and next thing you know, there's Harold Bains sitting right next to you. Yeah. And Leland's and, and you know, Pristine and, and I can go on with auction houses, right? Gray flannel and you know, and so on and so on and so on. So I don't count auction houses now. You can't, obviously you can buy and sell on an auction site.

SPEAKER 3: And I'Ll, I'Ll, I'Ll sell Kate with someone will say, well, John Ebay is an auction site, but they also have to buy it now. So I guess, I guess that's the deal. That's the, the tiebreaker, right? Yeah, you have to buy it now. Then you can, you can, that counts.

SPEAKER 4: Ruben wants to know if your L CS has a website. Is that a marketplace? I would say, I would say if it's nationally aimed, if it's aimed National for the sake of conversation, I think we're talking National. No.

SPEAKER 3: Well, well, websites National, you could log out from Cambodia and, and I don't know, if they'll shit there.

SPEAKER 4: But that might even make it international. Yeah.

SPEAKER 4: What's up Orlando?

SPEAKER 3: So, II, I leave ebay on there because they're, they're, and I know the deal that, that just happened and all that. But I take the auction houses, the strict auction houses off and I'd leave ebay out. Well, I thought.

SPEAKER 4: Golden and maybe I'm wrong and it's, it's been a minute since I've been on there. I thought they did have some flat rate sales. I thought you could make a flat rate offer about PWCC.

SPEAKER 3: I thought they did too.

SPEAKER 4: Yeah, I have them on there. So.

SPEAKER 3: All right. So they could stay if I guess that will be for me if you're asking me if you can log on like right now during the show and buy something.

SPEAKER 3: But, and I'm not talking about all the auctions and tonight that have been running for three weeks, I'm talking like I can log out tonight and buy something tonight and if it didn't sell tonight, I could come back tomorrow and buy that same card tomorrow. It's just like a, a buy it now sort of price. You know, I think that'S A marketplace. An auction house is you gotta be the high bidder.

SPEAKER 3: And some, again, some will say, well ebay is a but they do have the buy and out prices or make an offer, right? Make an offer and see if the seller takes it or counters. So all Right.

SPEAKER 4: So you're convincing me to take golden off until somebody can remind me for sure.

SPEAKER 3: If they here's one thing, here's one thing, there's not enough selling marketplaces.

SPEAKER 4: Brian says usually marketplace implies that it'S A platform with a lot of vendors that compete with each other, that the marketplace would imply that I think in this case, we're talking about a single stall at the marketplace of the hobby.

SPEAKER 3: Put up the list again because I think it left someone off.

SPEAKER 4: I probably left a bunch of them.

SPEAKER 3: There's our guy Warren. What's up? Wart, sir? Did CC on your list? Yes, it is. All right. I didn't notice it. I'm like, that's gotta be on there. Yeah. What not? I, and I'm sure we left somebody off. I don't know much about Verp.

SPEAKER 3: I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna lie to you. I don't use that my car posts. I know about them. I don't know. I don't use all these Beckham marketplace for sure. I don't. But you know that just because I don't use them. Mark doesn't mean.

SPEAKER 4: Well, that's why, that's why I'm curious for people in the, in the comments on what sites they do use.

SPEAKER 4: I'm a said Dodo.

SPEAKER 3: Maybe someone has a site they really like, it's kind of a low key one and they don't wanna, it's like their little secret site. Maybe they don't wanna like, it's their honey hole and they're like, hey, I don't, I don't want a million people. Not that we have a million downloads, but I don't want a bunch of people finding out about this site. It's kind of my little tell.

SPEAKER 4: The, tell the truth, you know, it'S A half million downloads.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah. Well, I don't want to be inaccurate. So that's why I corrected.

SPEAKER 4: All right. So, have you used ebay? Yes. PWCC. Yes. Yes. Com c what not.

SPEAKER 3: I've been on it. I, I, I've never bought anything. I've never, have.

SPEAKER 4: You ever been on my sport? Have you ever been on buy sportscars dot com?

SPEAKER 3: I, I checked it out. I, like I went on this site but I, I didn't do anything with it.

SPEAKER 4: Dylan are those the only two you use? I'd be curious because you have a very vast collection.

SPEAKER 3: I know he's, I, I know I see him whatnot sale.

SPEAKER 3: I'm sorry, I know Dylan likes whatnot. A lot. A lot of people do. Why not? I'm told is like you really have to take it on the chin at first until you build up sort of a following. And then you should do a lot better.

SPEAKER 4: Ruben says I'm not scared. John Ebay. Come see my slab, four sharp corners, but four sharp corners. I thought it was an ebay Power seller.

SPEAKER 2: Yeah, that's.

SPEAKER 3: What I thought. Maybe, maybe they have their own separate site too though. I don't, they do. I've never been on it.

SPEAKER 4: Dylan says I was using my slabs as well to sell, well, not enough people were. I don't think so.

SPEAKER 4: Orlando and say hello to Mike Petty.

SPEAKER 4: You double D says I use everything to buy ha ha, ha.

SPEAKER 3: Well, that's, you know, that's, well, yeah, that's, I mean, that's something to talk about too. Like, if you're looking for something. Right. Ultimately, you're trying to get the best deal on it. Right? You're trying to get it at the lowest price, right? So you shop around when, when I tried to buy my Jackie Rookie, I look, you know, I checked, I, I didn't just get one site in mind.

SPEAKER 3: I, you know, it wound up being an ebay purchase. But, you know, I was, I was looking for that on auction house sites. I bid on auction house auctions just didn't win it. So I think when you're buying you, I think, I think when you're buying, you use more sites and I think when you're selling, you're more condensed with, I'm only listing on, on these. I, I think, I think most people would agree with that assessment.

SPEAKER 4: And guess what? Guess what? I've just learned. Horse sharp corners has its own site. And it's awesome. Dylan says, see.

SPEAKER 3: We learned that this is what I say, daddy, you learn. If you're not learning something every day in a hobby, you're not, you're not active or you're not, you're not open minded or you're not trying well, I.

SPEAKER 4: Think we picked a topic here and if we're gonna be honest with each other and with, with the audience, it's not our strength. We're not high end online power sellers.

SPEAKER 3: Speak for yourself. No, I'm just kidding. No, I, you know, I, I do sell online but I do a lot more sales at shows that I set up at. But you, but.

SPEAKER 4: You basically use ebay. Can I say that?

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, I would say ebay is one. And what is a good question? What would be my number two in terms of sales, ebay is, is one I'd probably say com C or, or slash sport. Lots, sport, lots. I make a lot of like really low amount sales. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER 3: 25 cents, 50 cents a dollar two bucks, few bucks, ebay. Some of the bigger cards and comp, see some, some are bigger cards. So I I'Ll go for me. It's for selling, it's ebay and then comp but I'm, I'm not Doctor Jim on comp. See he'S A, he'S A comp C power seller.

SPEAKER 4: Mike Petty says they don't have auctions on for trimmed corners though.

SPEAKER 3: They do. It's on the dark web. Yeah.

SPEAKER 4: Good evening, Gems. Could you?

SPEAKER 4: Damn.

SPEAKER 4: Where's Mike Petty? He's at home drinking. Ruben thinks we need a new rule in our show that it should be a drink every time John mentions Jackie Robinson or Danny mentions burger.

SPEAKER 3: So listen, I, I'Ll I'Ll, I'Ll, I'Ll take one on the chin for everybody else right here. Tough life. Cheers.

SPEAKER 4: Cheers. Oh, here's, here's an obvious one. Mookie.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, we f, yeah, I, I bought stuff off Facebook.

SPEAKER 2: That's, that'S A huge one. Yeah.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah. Facebook groups. You got the Marketplace. Macari is another one you could have probably added out here. I know for some, it's not a viable option. But, I mean, I have, I have a friend that I have a friend that buys a ton of cards on Macari. He's always like texting me. Hey, I picked this up on Macari. I don't use it, but I guess it's viable. He's getting.

SPEAKER 4: I'd be curious if anybody else ever used that or Etsy.

SPEAKER 3: Etsy is more like art to me. I, I look at it as an arts and crafts type of site. Well, T Mo or tou starts selling cards. I could be in trouble or Alibaba.

SPEAKER 3: You probably, if, but if t Mo starts selling cards, you're probably not gonna be real ones. Let's just put it that way. Get some fake Jordans.

SPEAKER 4: Some people saying that you're not seeing each other on the chat.

SPEAKER 4: You should be able to see from any of the streams and I put it on there so you can see all the streams that's on just to make sure everybody can see each other. We got a lot of people in here and you guys are the best. So I just wanna make.

SPEAKER 3: Sure the best chat room. I, you know, I will say that I will say that, you know, Doctor Jim was on last episode a couple of weeks ago. He was impressed with the chat room. We, we told him and then he was here and he saw it and he knows a lot of people, you know, from hobby hotline chat room. But, thing was impressed.

SPEAKER 3: He said as much.

SPEAKER 4: He said as much, you know, by the way, Mike Petty, is setting up for drinks at the bar. Just use code name. Petty. Don't tell anyone it's on the down low because if.

SPEAKER 3: Anyone wants to drink, did I tell you about Jackie Robertson?

SPEAKER 2: Right.

SPEAKER 4: Cheers.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, that is a good game though. I like it. Good thing. I'm on water.

SPEAKER 3: I'm saying hi.

SPEAKER 4: I'm not, you know, I ran out of soda. That, that was, that was a big, that was a big fail tonight. Cheers. There we go. Yep. Everybody.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, this is like cheers. Right. Remember the Joe Cheers? Everyone knew each other. It was like, you know, everyone had their spot at the, at their spot at the bar. And this is sort of like the, the hobby version. I like to think.

SPEAKER 4: Steven says where the chat matches. We've been called Worse.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, there was the chat matches. I like, we, you know, I've been called Worse. Like, you know, Lady Gaga calls her fans, Little Monsters so that we could call them the chat.

SPEAKER 4: So what I'm not hearing is what sites are people buying from as much?

SPEAKER 3: Well, I think, man, I think this is what I said, wherever you get the best deal, I don't think, I think when you're looking for a particular card, whatever that card may be, four figures, two figures, you know, what, what are you going to be honest?

SPEAKER 4: What are you going through first?

SPEAKER 3: You're asking me or are you just asking in general?

SPEAKER 3: I think, I think ebay, I think I, I'm not gonna, you know, and I don't love ebay like I could, I could list 10 things I don't like and I can list 10 things I do like, but listen, they are kind of the, the number one marketplace or, or right there and, and arguably the number one marketplace.

SPEAKER 3: So I, I think you go there first because, you know, depending on the card, you're probably gonna find it there. Most likely at least one cop.

SPEAKER 3: You know what I mean? Unless it's something really super hard to find. I will say I, I find myself on to see more often really see I do but not, it's not it's, it's I sell more than I buy on to see.

SPEAKER 3: It's probably clothes because I'm not selling the to on comp see, but here'S A confession you want. Oh no, I take that back. I was gonna confess something and then I remembered it's not true, but I, I was, I was what I was gonna say you were not.

SPEAKER 2: At the grass.

SPEAKER 3: No, no. That, that, that's not true.

SPEAKER 3: What I was gonna say is I never won an item from an auction house, but that actually is not true. That's not that thanks to you. I won the Hank Aaron Rookie from PWCC auction, but also I'Ll, I'Ll go back and rescind what I was gonna say, I've only won one lot off auction house site, but I bid, I bid quite a bit. I've b so it's not for lack of bidding. I just only won one time.

SPEAKER 4: But it was a good errand.

SPEAKER 3: I it's behind me and I like it. Don't, that's not a, that's not one of the drinking keys. So if you went, if you went and drank after that, you did that of your own accord, I find a ton of 50 dollar cards on ebay for, for $400.

SPEAKER 3: Some of those might be mine to.

SPEAKER 4: See is the devil's playground. You just keep loading up more and more funds. Dylan, you're not wrong. But if you spend all your funds, it solves that problem.

SPEAKER 3: You know what I don't like about CC is, is number one, what it costs like to list the card right off the bat before you even sell it. That's all.

SPEAKER 3: And then, you know, when you cash out, they take like 15%.

SPEAKER 3: No, they get you up front, they get you coming in the door and they get you even, they kick your butt both ways.

SPEAKER 2: And they don't give you a kiss.

SPEAKER 3: No, nothing like it. I almost said something that wouldn't have been, Orlando sells.

SPEAKER 4: I sell on come and buy some. There also from my sales waiting on shipping. That's slow.

SPEAKER 3: They have shows slow shipping. The fees. They get you out. Like, if you want to take your money out, they get you that way.

SPEAKER 3: I know they do specials with intakes. But what is it? 50 cents a card? Now, now you're, you gotta be careful what you submit, shipping. Like Orlando said, you know, when I do some like sub cards to come see, it's usually at the National and I'Ll bring like, you know, a four or 506 100 count box and, and hand it to him in person.

SPEAKER 3: That way. You don't have to pay the shipping, on top of it. Sometimes at the, at the National, they'll do like, a discount on, on intake cards too. So that I dropped.

SPEAKER 4: Off a couple of 100 last year. Yeah. Yeah. And I think they just got listed.

SPEAKER 3: You know, I know it's not on the list. I know they, they've really taken a step back. Brandon Steiner just bought the company trying to, to build them back up against Star stock is a, is a marketplace.

SPEAKER 3: I know it's probably on the, the bottom of, of comparatively to, to this list. But they're, they're trying to, they're trying to get going again. It's tough, man. I don't know if all of these survive, you know, maybe stars stuck tries and, and, and, and make it.

SPEAKER 3: And there's new ones coming out, it seems like I get an email. Hey, come check out our new selling platform, right? So there's new ones every day I want selling platforms and grading card companies.

SPEAKER 4: Barry Barry shout out He actually did his comment in rhyme which, which I appreciate the extra effort.

SPEAKER 4: Tell me why I need another pet rock. Tell me why I got that Elf alarm clock. Tell me why I been on Shatner's old toupee. They had it on ebay by Barry.

SPEAKER 3: Did they probably did have it on ebay?

SPEAKER 4: That was, that was beautiful. That's, that's the art segment of it.

SPEAKER 3: I got to answer this question.

SPEAKER 3: Do I ask for PTO? No, I go to work which is at school but I do wear and you probably see it on social media. I'Ll wear something Jackie related and post about it.

SPEAKER 4: Shout out to Weird Al Absolutely.

SPEAKER 3: So don't do load management at work. I actually play, I go in and II I get in there and work.

SPEAKER 4: Warren's gonna buy us cocktails. There you go. You tell him where he can go to buy us cocktails. You can share that.

SPEAKER 3: I'm, I'm, I'm a little late to this joke.

SPEAKER 4: Now, where are we? We're gonna be in the same place Cleveland before that.

SPEAKER 3: Oh The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Baltimore. I thought we were keeping that a secret.

SPEAKER 4: That's why I said to you. Oh, drinking. John is the best. John, everybody. Jack, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie, Jackie.

SPEAKER 3: I'm a one drinker show guy. So that's it.

SPEAKER 4: Are the mentions going to Strongsville one half of the Mensches is planning on it. But some family stuff is to be determined and like who was lying about load man, even by John's wife.

SPEAKER 3: Hey, she tries, she tries, I'Ll just say that.

SPEAKER 4: Well, when Tony Saragosa sacked Rich Gadon in the AFC championship game, Gannon complained and wanted to flag and Tony Saragosa said he does that twice a week to his wife and she hasn't complained at all.

SPEAKER 3: He was a good like I I'm not obviously been a Steeler fan, not a Ravens lover, obviously, but there was AAA little warm spot in my heart for Tony Syracuse, the the person, you know, he was a funny guy and he had fun and he was doing that show on, on Kind of Man Cave show after his career was over that I, I did watch and you know, when he passed away, I was, I was definitely, oh, you know, I was sad about it.

SPEAKER 4: Oh man, I was in a chat room by myself. Hi guys.

SPEAKER 4: All right, we gotta figure this out. Everybody type in the chat, what chat room you're in? We're, we're gonna start limiting what, what, how many channels we put this on. We want you guys all, all, all to be able to see each other. So let us know what chat room you're in.

SPEAKER 3: It's too bad. It's 2024. You think that? I, I know we got some great technology. I think the technology would be advanced enough that no matter where you're watching or listening to this, you could type in and everyone would see it. I don't think that's asking for the moon.

SPEAKER 4: I don't get that either and, and because we see all the, all the comments so everybody in Hobby News Daily can see each other.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know who runs that site but that guy.

SPEAKER 4: But I, I'm, I'm gonna sit up a little taller.

SPEAKER 3: You wanna do rich client?

SPEAKER 3: No, you need the box.

SPEAKER 3: We love rich, by the way. So don't take it any other way. Dylan said do that in front of him. So it's not like I'm doing it with.

SPEAKER 4: I'm sorry, this is fantastic.

SPEAKER 3: One. Guess what, what you better show us.

SPEAKER 3: It's because I'm, I'm listen, neither one of us are good looking but I'm the lesser of two evils, I guess is what that, whoa, whoa.

SPEAKER 4: Whoa, whoa, whoa, easy there. The lesser of two evils, I think I'm pretty darn handsome. Thank you.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, I'Ll, I'Ll sit this one.

SPEAKER 4: Well, now, now I feel bad.

SPEAKER 3: That, I guess I'm good e good enough looking to be married 25 years or maybe, maybe that's reverse ac, I don't know.

SPEAKER 4: Well, I mean, you know, like I said, the other day, it's only impressive as long as it's the same person. If it's 25 women, one year each, it's not impressive.

SPEAKER 3: That would be crazy that that person, if that person is real and that's, it exists and it's not Elizabeth Taylor who's passed away. That person should be getting invited to the White House.

SPEAKER 4: Ha ha Verite drink. Definitely.

SPEAKER 3: I tell you what, I was too young to drink that day, but had I been of age, it might have been a few down the hatches after that game. I was not, you know, that was a little humble. I definitely ate some humble pie that day because I was 16 and oh, on the mound before that game, I'd like, I'd.

SPEAKER 4: Like you to read Rub.

SPEAKER 3: I didn't drink. I ate humble pie for sure.

SPEAKER 4: I'd like you to read Ruben's comment.

SPEAKER 3: Sorry j I think I could handle Danny more than you since you were a mountain of a man. If I bet it.

SPEAKER 3: I don't know if that'S A compliment. I, I'Ll take it.

SPEAKER 4: I'Ll read this one, Warren says John, you're devastatingly handsome, but I'm happy to.

SPEAKER 3: It's like you ever seen that picture? It's the, it's made the round two.

SPEAKER 3: Oops, there'S A picture. It's like it's an old lady and then if you turn it, you turn it upside down. It'S A younger looking lady that looks pretty good. So, like you, and then you do this, it's like after 10 beers or, you know. Right. It's, it's, it's this and then after 10 beers it's the good looking lady. Maybe that's, that's how I am.

SPEAKER 4: I think, I think our chat room is starting to get a reputation warden. I'm getting there. Also, the Typos are increasing as the night goes on here. Have, have, have we lost all the rails on this topic here?

SPEAKER 3: No, I mean, we, we, as we sometimes do we go off the rails, we can bring it back on. But, do we lead, you know, what is, what is vap I'm not, I'm gonna, I'm gonna self confess. I, I have heard of it. I've just never used it. I've never been there. I know it's, it seems to be talked about a little bit more.

SPEAKER 3: Is anyone familiar with it more so than I am? Because I, you.

SPEAKER 4: You, if you have your list of inventory and I have my list of inventory, I can propose a trade to you. I can include cash. I can request cash as part of the trade.

SPEAKER 4: And, and it's set up to help ease trade.

SPEAKER 3: Does that, that doesn't sound like a marketplace. It makes them sound like a mediator almost like, there's cash involved and, and it's, you know, it's similar to ebay but with trading, I guess, is your stuff listed there or do I have to see your list, your inventory on another site? We go there.

SPEAKER 4: No, no, it's all, it's all in Veris swap.

SPEAKER 3: Ok. Then it is. Can you buy there? It's only for, as the name implies. Swapping. It's only for trading cards.

SPEAKER 2: That'S A fair question.

SPEAKER 4: I always assumed you would just trade cash and that's the purchase.

SPEAKER 3: Did anyone in the chat room? Like, like it use it, know about it. Just want me to say Jackie Robinson. So you could take another shot.

SPEAKER 4: I don't know, Mike, Mike. There, there may be a live stream going on and that is one of my favorite hotels in the country. So I take some offense to that. There'S A very, very fine fleece.

SPEAKER 3: Fleece or fleas. He said flea, you said fleece. He said there are two different things flee.

SPEAKER 4: Orlando says I can. Is that right?

SPEAKER 3: Yeah. Well, I, I don't, you know, I don't know anything about it other than that it exists and I've seen ads and there people talk about it.

SPEAKER 3: I'm just not.

SPEAKER 4: I'd like to hear more people use. First of all, Mike Petty says, it sounds like a hare brained idea. You know what.

SPEAKER 3: I, so what it, it's, if we trade on Veris swap, if, if we trade on Verp and I don't send my end of the deal, do they get involved? I mean, because you take the word veri, verify and swap or verify. Do you send it to like a third party?

SPEAKER 3: You send it to them and then they, you know, do we send, me and you traded, Danny? So do we send the cars of Veris swap and then they send it to us? So we get both. Is that how it works? I don't know.

SPEAKER 4: I I only messed around with it a little while ago.

SPEAKER 3: I've never been on the site and, you know, we learned a few things tonight. Four sharp corners as their own dedicated platform besides a, a commission, you know, or selling on, on ebay. So, what are we looking at here?

SPEAKER 4: This is very swapped. And so what car do you wanna look for? Let's look for some Jack.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah. Put you. Well and Jacks holiday. He thought I was going somewhere else.

SPEAKER 3: Did he get a hit? Yeah. No. Yeah. Rough.

SPEAKER 4: You know, the kid's 20 years old kid's 20 you can check th on either, but that's fair swap, I guess.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, I don't know. I'm one of those guys.

SPEAKER 2: This is my, this.

SPEAKER 3: Is 52 Jackson Robertson drink.

SPEAKER 3: Not, no, it's spelled wrong.

SPEAKER 3: Here's my thing. There'S A lot of selling but we, we forgot. Some, not on purpose. Right. There's some smaller ones. There's some upstarts. I get an email every other day from a buying or a selling platform that wants to come on Sports Car Nation and talk about it, you know.

SPEAKER 3: I don't know. I, they're not all gonna make it. I, I know that much. You know, and, and I don't root against people but there's just no way all of them are going to, you know, I don't know what their overheads are, their operating costs. But, you know, and there's more, and there's more coming.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, that's more common. That's the amazing thing. But that, there'S A better question when all the smoke clears where there'll be more grading companies or more selling because there'S A new Grady card company every, every day as well.

SPEAKER 4: Mike and to clarify, I believe it'S A best western. Plus, I just wanna get that clear for the record. Best Western plus is, it, is a couple less flee.

SPEAKER 3: Well, you only need, you know, you know what my rule in hotel is, right. You just gotta have a warm shower, clean sheets, no bugs. Like I'm gonna be in it. If I'm traveling for, for a hobby related event. I'm not, I'm really the only in the hotel for the most part to sleep and take a shower.

SPEAKER 2: You're out on the beach.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah. Like I, when I come in, I'm, I'm usually, I'm, I'm winding down and it's get ready for the next day, kind of mentality.

SPEAKER 2: So, see, I.

SPEAKER 4: Like, I like a midday from the National go cha change the clothes, refresh. Get ready for the second part of the day.

SPEAKER 3: The only time I've ever done that was my first National, which was in Chicago. I don't know if it was 17 or 18, it might have been 18 and I stayed with Marlon Carlson. Some might know Sparty Hawk, Cohea, good friend of mine. And he's like, hey, man, I'm, I'm staying in the hotel. What is it? The, the Sheridan that's connected, to the Donald Stevens Convention Center.

SPEAKER 3: And that was the only time that I like went back to the room and I took a, a power nap for like two or three hours and then went back to the show and I remember what put me to sleep. What? There was a movie I turned on the TV. And it was the rock movie, with all the monsters fighting each other. I don't remember what it was called.

SPEAKER 4: I have no idea what you're talking about.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, that movie put me to sleep. I set my alarm on my cell phone for a couple of hours. It went off and then I went back to the show and that is just a great story that you can tell your grandkids someday.

SPEAKER 4: Orlando says I'm rooming with Rocket Rick. Easy to sleep once he starts talking.

SPEAKER 3: Well, listen, I'm a snorer. Danny can attest to that. So score. No, it wasn't Scorpion King. And now it's bugging me. Oh, man. I don't know. But it, it, it was all different monsters. It was modern. It was kind of set in modern times but these things come to, you know, and they're battling each other and it was, it was ok like it was, it wasn't terrible. It just put me. I did fall asleep.

SPEAKER 4: Jackson holiday did not get a hit again.

SPEAKER 4: I'm not worried about it. I'm just keeping you.

SPEAKER 3: So who's not starting that? He's starting for now like.

SPEAKER 4: Tony Kemp, they cut, they cut Tony Kemp who was very, very gracious. He, he tweeted that he remembered when he was Vanderbilt that Matt's brother was the coach and Jackson came as a kid and said go get him kid or something like that. It was very touching. A ton of Kemp gets picked up.

SPEAKER 4: Dylan always at the party house, Dylan, are you coming in for any shows this year?

SPEAKER 3: Yeah. You know, listen, man, if he says no, I can't blame him man. In Hawaii. I I know that's why I was wondering even last year that, that what, how when he told me like the stuff to get from Hawaii to, to, you know, to the National Warren, we, we will definitely be at the National. Yeah, we've already got itinerary set and Dylan.

SPEAKER 4: Making it to the National. Way to go. Dylan, like John said that that'S A little bit more for you than for the rest of us.

SPEAKER 3: I give him credit, man. And, but he, he loves the hop, you know, I don't have to, he, he comes out, remember his sports. He's super passionate and I'm glad he's, I, I always say like once you go to one, it's like tattoos. For those that have to, if you get one, you get one and then it's addicting, right? You go to one and you want to go to a mall.

SPEAKER 4: So, but Dylan strikes me as also he's there for the people as much as the cards.

SPEAKER 2: Yeah.

SPEAKER 3: Well, I think everyone, I, I don't want to say everyone, I think a high percentage of the people that are at the National. It's, it's, you know, the stuff meeting your friends that you, it's, you see that one time a year, that one week a year, right? It's during the show, it's after the show going to dinner a trade night, whatever the event, YouTube, get together, whatever you, the, the events called, right?

SPEAKER 3: The show ends but the, the, the day doesn't and that's the beauty of the National and you know, God will and I, I'Ll try to be at the rest of them that I have left to to go to, I got my le, you know, for as long as I've been in the hobby, I didn't go to the na first National, I think it was 2018. So, you know, to me it was always just a big show that was gonna cost me a little chunk of change to go to.

SPEAKER 3: You know, and then you go to your first one and even the first one I went to Danny. That was sort of I don't wanna say last minute, but I wasn't sure. And then Marlo's like, hey man, you can room with me, just get, just get here and I bought a you know, I got a plane ticket very late in the process and that's how they Mookie every night.

SPEAKER 3: I know we should try to do something, you know. I mean, but Mike, you know, listen, let's Moynihan does a great, a great event with the YouTube. Yeah, I, I, we'll just, we'll just steal that.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, we'll just crash that.

SPEAKER 4: In fact, we'll put the details on here when it gets closer. So everybody knows where to go.

SPEAKER 3: But we, we're gonna, we gotta do some Mensch merch and, and give some stuff away. That's not Mensch merch, bro. Mensch merch.

SPEAKER 4: So Mench merch.com.

SPEAKER 4: Yeah, I like that. I don't know what kind of men me do people want shirts?

SPEAKER 3: We can, I mean, there's stickers there because you know, poker chips. I mean, you name it. You know, it can be done. John.

SPEAKER 4: I haven't been in a pair of Nike since 1987. I'm a new balance, guy. Yeah, I have one shirt.

SPEAKER 3: Ii, I have, listen, I have way too many sneakers, man.

SPEAKER 3: I think I posted one.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, hats are kind of cool. I'm a hat. I'm a hat and sneaker guy. Like I've got, I don't know. So I know how many hats I got. I counted them the other day. 7475. I got rid of some. I have to get rid of some that, like, I'm not gonna ever wear that ever. Baseball themed riddles sign sign my Norris. You sign one side outside.

SPEAKER 4: I love getting coasters from collectors. You know what.

SPEAKER 3: I've, I've done, I've done coasters near me. I've done coasters. I'm using these now because these were sent to me by a, a fan of the show, of sport. These are pretty cool. These are the actual wrappers and they shellac them. And so I use these.

SPEAKER 4: You also chewed the gum out of there right back.

SPEAKER 3: In the day but not really. See, I used to, I've told this story before I got my cavities, but I was a soda holic. So I got my cavities from soda. But what I would do is all my buddies wanted the gum, so I would trade the gum and get more cards.

SPEAKER 3: That's how I like built my early collection of cards was getting rid of my gum and thank you in his car. Yeah. No, you just get jabs family. Don't get me started. I already, yeah. No, no, no, no.

SPEAKER 4: We're definitely a horizontal card. We are not a vertical card. We are horizontal.

SPEAKER 3: A totem pole like one of us will be on the other shoulders.

SPEAKER 3: Like, what's that game in the pool you play where you get on.

SPEAKER 4: Someone's shoulder, right? Chicken Fighter or?

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, I don't know what it's called, but been many moons since I've done that.

SPEAKER 4: I'd rather have breaker cards.

SPEAKER 4: Thanks, Mike.

SPEAKER 4: Those cards. I mean, we should, we should do, cards.

SPEAKER 3: We might, we'll figure something out. We do, we'll figure something, you know, tops, tops used to do custom cards where you could go to the site, order them. I have them, they're, they're over there.

SPEAKER 3: I used to make one every year for Sports Card Nation. Then they stopped doing it, they stopped doing it. So there are other companies that are not like card companies that do custom cards. So maybe you'll see, you know, a, a dual sided mench card. That would be kind of, I know.

SPEAKER 3: Listen, I don't want, you know, let's give credit where I, I know. Dylan and Adam did one, for, for their show, which was very cool. That one would be hard to t, I don't think we can, but Dylan I keep it near me just to remember. Let me see. I don't know if I got that one. Let me see.

SPEAKER 4: It, it's personal. I can't share it. He talks about you in his, he, he wrote a note and he talks about you. Yeah.

SPEAKER 3: Maybe there'll be AAA men dual D, dual sided card. So if they will sign them, I always, I have signed stuff before. I always, I don't view myself as a celebrity. So I always think it's kind of odd, but I, I'Ll do it.

SPEAKER 4: Barry wants to know how he can get an autograph. John rookie card. I don't know. I'Ll let John that John. How would one of you get your rookie card?

SPEAKER 3: I had someone I played in Little League.

SPEAKER 4: I don't know where the heck those things, if we find one, maybe I can deliver for them or something.

SPEAKER 3: I don't even have one anymore of those, you know, when you play Little League and that they make those team set cards. I don't, I think it got thrown out in a move some at some point or, or not, it's too bad but, or maybe everyone else threw them out after the Verite home run.

SPEAKER 2: Very funny.

SPEAKER 3: So, I have Show Cart, you know, for in support of the, the show, sometimes I mail them out.

SPEAKER 3: I don't even know what I have left. I have to look in that box, you know, we did a hobby hotline set a couple of years, back that was actually pretty well received and, you know, it's right. We're in the car hobby. So you gotta have sort of a, I.

SPEAKER 4: I, I gotta mention it. Evidently it's hit Twitter that, remember that case of, of PG Hockey that was won at the auction.

SPEAKER 4: Evidently the winner, the winner has not paid or is trying to return the cards.

SPEAKER 3: For the, you're saying the Gretzky rookie case, where did it go for? 3.2 million bucks? 3.72 million? And now the buyer's not paid yet.

SPEAKER 4: That's somebody just sent me a text of this is what, this is, what live, live, live.

SPEAKER 3: Don't you have to, like, don't you have to pay like, pretty quick like that? I think that you have to be vetted that you can pay $3.72 million. Like, I couldn't be vetted to, to make that purchase. Not yet. I'm working. I'm just kidding. But you know what I mean? Like, how does that not get, not get paid? And how is that going on?

SPEAKER 4: I wanna, I wanna find out all the details before I start to work on something, but I find that kind of crazy. Speaking of Mensches, hello?

SPEAKER 3: Hey JJ, I had been on Mens. He'S A, he'S A.

SPEAKER 4: He's an honorary Mensch. Absolutely. Well, he'S A real match, but he's an honorary cardinal.

SPEAKER 3: No, but, you know, before the show was, I mean, I, you know, I'm only half of, you're a, you're a full Mensch.

SPEAKER 3: I don't know how that way if that's true. I don't know how that happened.

SPEAKER 4: Yeah, I, I, I'm curious about that. If anybody else has, seen that, I just got three texts in a row on it. I, I was worried something was happening.

SPEAKER 3: And I don't have any texts about that. I see where, where I read but where man, what do you do in that case? Do you go to the backup bidder? And what was that? Do they even want to do that? How much money will they lose the back? A bidder? Like 2.7? And then they're, they're taking a million dollar like I don't wanna say a loss but, or, or is it almost the same amount?

SPEAKER 4: And who knows? It'S A cra that's crazy if it's true.

SPEAKER 3: I, I, and why, like, what's the, you know, there's so many like tentacles to this. Why are you bailing on your bid?

SPEAKER 4: Yeah, I, I'm hesitant to since I already brought it up.

SPEAKER 3: Is it a mega bid situation?

SPEAKER 2: Oh.

SPEAKER 3: Oh, but it is that it, is that because it's the only, it's the only existing case, right? As far as that's why I went for so much. Like there's no another, there's no another case of 79 OPG Hockey that I'm aware of and that's what they were advertising that as like the only one.

SPEAKER 4: The power of technology. Yeah, maybe Jeremy Lee was the, was the under bidder.

SPEAKER 3: I'm just saying you start talking about it and that Jeremy Leon. Hello?

SPEAKER 3: I don't know, you know, connect all the dots you want.

SPEAKER 3: Like Jeremy knows. I'm kidding with.

SPEAKER 4: All right. So you tell me.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, that's not right, man. You can change your mind. The business. It's not optional. Like, oh, you know what? Never mind. Listen, I'm taking business law right now. Like that'S A binding contract now. Can you enforce it? I mean, that'S A whole another show.

SPEAKER 3: But like, you know, like when you bid it is in small print there is, this is, you know, you're, you, you, you, it is the high bid you were contracted obligated to pay for your item. Like I, I changed my mind. I'm gonna tell that to my wife later. I'm gonna tell that to my wife later. You know, after 25 I changed my mind.

SPEAKER 3: I saw my receipt and it's too late. Like I, I then I wanna know when did like that auction? What was it a couple of months ago or six weeks ago? It's not like it just ended in the, in the but so like how does that go on for this long? And without them collecting.

SPEAKER 4: Just Jeremy says he did, he won and now he doesn't want to honor the contract. Remember what happened to sports car therapist when he did the same thing.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah. Like that's not right. That's why it says any time, like, it's whenever you sign up or you agree to, like it says, like you, if you're a high bidder, you, you're obligated to pay for your item.

SPEAKER 4: Steven, I tried to make sure you have the receipt.

SPEAKER 3: That's why I only have one kid and he's not a kid anymore. He's 24 years old.

SPEAKER 4: Did someone say there are hats available?

SPEAKER 3: I have 74. What if you like the Mets Syracuse Orange Pittsburgh Steelers. And there's some hobby ones in there.

SPEAKER 2: I think it's Mensch mesh, New.

SPEAKER 3: York Rangers and New York Rangers. Those are typically my hats.

SPEAKER 4: I think, I think we should, we should get some mens merch, but I don't want to make money. Maybe we, we.

SPEAKER 3: Don't wanna, here's all joking aside. I know we make fun of ourselves and we're self-deprecating. I don't know. Do I wanna walk around with a picture of John Newman and Danny Black on my hat or shirt or sticker? I might be able to pull off.

SPEAKER 4: I'm, I'm, I'm insulted by that question.

SPEAKER 3: I threw myself under the same bus.

SPEAKER 3: So we're under there. We're under there together.

SPEAKER 4: I mean, we, we do a show. That's pretty, that's pretty self indulgent.

SPEAKER 3: I, I'm kidding. I'm kidding. But I'm, I'm sort of half kidding.

SPEAKER 4: Imagine I kicking your coverage and running with the ball for over 30 years. I'm at 20 years.

SPEAKER 3: So Herman's been married. He's talking about himself. He, I know he is. Herman.

SPEAKER 3: Bless him, man. I'm, hey, Herman, I'm married 25. I'm wait, every, every day I go to the mailbox. I'm not checking for cards. I'm waiting, I'm looking for an invitation to the White House for being married for 25 years.

SPEAKER 4: I like Ruben's idea. Donate the proceeds from the merch sales.

SPEAKER 3: I like that. I'm a, I'm a charitable guy, philanthropic. I, I don't have any issues with that. I'm gonna make a wish supporter of full disclosure. So, you know, when you're a dad and, and you're fortunate to have a healthy kid and others aren't, it hits home.

SPEAKER 3: And so, I, when I was in my heyday of softball playing, and, and commissioner of the league, I was in, we would do an annual softball tourney, with, with proceeds going to them. So definitely, I like that for sure.

SPEAKER 3: Tax credits, right. I love my CPA. I'm not gonna lie. I love my my, I don't.

SPEAKER 4: I think we need to clarify if we make cards, John, that the enclosed material is guaranteed and worn material, not from a specific show.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, I'm gonna wear, let's do the Panini thing and I'Ll just put on like we'll do a show where we each wear 20 shirts, we'll just wear 20 shirts and we'll make like game, we'll make show worn, stuff from the 20 shirts.

SPEAKER 4: No, Ruben Ruben. If you have an hour, whatever we can answer that.

SPEAKER 3: I, I'Ll answer this real quick without making it an hour. I actually played A S A and, us S A not, yeah, U Tripp but more, more A S A which we call the blue shirts and U Tripp was called the red shirt. So, I played both but more, more of the blue shirts, which is Herman. Never fast pitch. I was signed up one year to play fast pitch, also known as modified and we didn't get enough players. So it never, we never feel that.

SPEAKER 4: Herman says he feels like he's in chat alone.

SPEAKER 4: We, we touched on that before. There's several chat rooms. Fast pitch.

SPEAKER 4: No tighty whities on our cards. Please don't worry.

SPEAKER 4: And t hea card story way late evening.

SPEAKER 3: All we don't want any underwear cards, cards. We don't want any.

SPEAKER 4: Well, we're already at 53. That was, that was fun. Wyoming. Yeah.

SPEAKER 3: Well, listen, I.

SPEAKER 4: Guess you guys are absolutely the best. This man this made my night.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, you never know where the show is gonna go, right. We start off with one thing we're talking about the National, we're talking about strong. Now we're talking about tidy whities, merch and men and who knows what else, right. And that's, I guess that's the fun of the whole thing at the end, at the end.

SPEAKER 3: So, yeah, I still play, I still play but not, not nearly as much. I used to play four or five nights a week. And it's funny because when I started dating my wife, you know, it wasn't obviously my wife yet.

SPEAKER 3: And very early on I said, listen, I play a ton of softball just so, you know, and she was like, I love softball. Can I come to some of your games? I'm like, you're more than welcome. What I'm telling you is I'm not cutting down on my play. You're more than welcome to attend. But like, that's, that's, I do it now.

SPEAKER 4: Fast forward to where you don't play much softball anymore.

SPEAKER 3: I play 11, usually one night a week, in season and, and sometimes too, if I get asked to sub in, in another. So, and I will tell you this, you know, in my, the younger days playing on those four or five nights, didn't feel nothing. Right. Good to go. Not so much anymore. If I play on Monday, I'm still walking around gingerly on Thursday.

SPEAKER 4: So we started on marketplaces and now Ruben, wants to know if you want to buy some bats.

SPEAKER 3: Ii, I still have some, I still have.

SPEAKER 4: Some, but I love the fact that Ruben's just selling stuff in the chat room.

SPEAKER 3: Well, this is the market, put this on the marketplace list. Yeah, Ruben. What else you got?

SPEAKER 4: I don't know what else, what else he has? Let's sell something for Ruben.

SPEAKER 4: What position did you play?

SPEAKER 2: Barry?

SPEAKER 3: W I started out my younger days at short, then I went, as I got a little bit older, I moved over to third and as I got a little bit older I went to first. So now I still play, now I still play third or first. I still play Ruben.

SPEAKER 4: Better practice balls.

SPEAKER 2: John, you know.

SPEAKER 3: He's, he, he's apparently been in my garage.

SPEAKER 4: Mookie says tonight I learned John should trade hats for underwear on Verp.

SPEAKER 3: No, I got a lot of both for whatever weird reason.

SPEAKER 3: Does everyone, how about this for a question? Favorite underwear? Like we always see, I have underwear, a brief.

SPEAKER 2: A boxer brief.

SPEAKER 3: I have both. But what I'm saying is, do you have like we, do you have underwear? Like man, I'm saving that for Saturday and Sunday because I really liked it.

SPEAKER 4: I have all the same brand, same color.

SPEAKER 2: Yeah, that's boring.

SPEAKER 4: I don't have to worry. I don't have to make those decisions of which color which day?

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, then command. Oh yeah, I've never done that. I've never done that, Ruben.

SPEAKER 4: Were you also mention you were looking for a roommate at the National?

SPEAKER 2: I'm just saying that.

SPEAKER 3: He'S A veteran Commando 2000.

SPEAKER 4: I'm just saying that, you know, there might be a correlation between not having a roommate and being commando.

SPEAKER 3: Listen, let's be glad I'm not independence. I'm getting close to that and I joke with my son like I change your diapers. Will you change mine? That's the question.

SPEAKER 4: And he's like, nope, Herman, I'm putting the Lincoln in for you so you can jump over real quick. So Ruben says it's nothing to do with the clem lines of body.

SPEAKER 3: Yeah, I, I feel yeah, but you know, you always worry like guys you know, you go number one and like you, you know, I don't wanna wear this and, and you know, not ruin, you know, if you're not wearing underwear, you don't have that buffer to block a drop or two. If you know what I mean.

SPEAKER 4: John very to know if there'S A button he can hit to change the topic and I'm gonna press that button.

SPEAKER 4: I would like to press for press.

SPEAKER 3: I didn't start it. I didn't start it in my defense. I might have kept it going but I didn't open the door. I just walked in. So I'm a, I'm what you would call an accomplice but I wasn't the mastermind. I just went in on the Herman's.

SPEAKER 4: Found the chat.

SPEAKER 3: All right there he is. Me.

SPEAKER 3: So yeah, I don't, I don't know, man. You know, we'll, we'll, we'll, we'll come up with something for the National. I mean, hey, listen, we're, we're about it like 100 days and we're doing the countdown. I think it's about 100 days, away. And then there's another Dylan.

SPEAKER 4: I am, I am moving on from this.

SPEAKER 3: If you would like to think we, I think we have our next show topic though. Ii, I think.

SPEAKER 4: I think if anybody would like to re re-watch this and read the chat room, you're welcome to. I'm not gonna delete it. I'm also not gonna talk about everybody's underwear the rest of the show. How's that?

SPEAKER 3: If you search underwear and like the podcast search terms, will this show come up? Good question, Reuben.

SPEAKER 4: Genuinely hope I see you next week as well. Larry, Larry, glad you made it.

SPEAKER 3: Just in time for underwear. Our segment called Underwear Talk.

SPEAKER 4: That was the last segment.

SPEAKER 3: We, we just started it this week. It's obviously a bigger hit than we thought it was gonna be. So maybe we'll just incorporate it, every week. I'm kidding. I'm kidding, John.

SPEAKER 4: Before we head out, you had a, you had a guest on Sports Coon Nation today?

SPEAKER 3: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER 3: Over stadium insurance. Listen, I don't, I, I have collectibles insurance. It's not through stadium at this point but any, any insurance, right? But stadium insurance, you know, you can get a homeowners policy and the writer, but Geico farmers Allstate, they don't know cards, right? This is insurance geared strictly to cards. They will, will pay what the current value is.

SPEAKER 3: So, what I love about it, it is like we talked about on the show today, let's say you buy a card for 25 bucks three years ago and it's worth 5000 now. And something happens, fire theft. They will pay what not, what you pay the 25 bucks, they will cover the value of the car. So, I mean, what more can you ask for? You know, God forbid you, you have a homeowner's rider and you tell him I lost my, 1948 leaf Jackie Robinson.

SPEAKER 3: They're gonna be like, ok, what do you think it's worth? And then you tell them what you think it's worth and they're gonna come up, they're gonna, they're gonna come up with some lower figure and fight you. And so if you, if you get any cards of, if you own cards of significance or you're mailing or re or receiving cards of significant, this kind of insurance covers to and fro from your house and to your house.

SPEAKER 3: And you gotta do it and as with me doing bulk of Danny as you know, for SGC, some of these packages I'm mailing out and then receiving back in graded, form are six figures. They're not even my cards, right? And so I have to have, coverage, form and it's very affordable.

SPEAKER 3: It's not, I think sometimes people think it's, it's expensive and it's, it's not not what you think. And so, they're a great sponsor, check them out and, you know, so you, you, if you have any sort of inventory or your mail or, or receive cards of significance really should have.

SPEAKER 4: And I'Ll give a shout out to the Sports Card Nation podcast interview.

SPEAKER 3: Definitely, here'S A good question. Here'S A good question. Ii, I know we're, we're, you know, we're coming down to the wire here. If all your cards are raw, how do they determine that? Well, if, if it'S A significant card, you should have a picture of it.

SPEAKER 3: And then they'll determine sort of a, a raw cop based on your condition. It'S A little tricky. I will admit it'S A little trickier than if your card was obviously great.

SPEAKER 4: But you, there, there are ways to c raw cards.

SPEAKER 3: There is, there is, it's easier to cop a grated card for sure, no doubt.

SPEAKER 3: But cards just like when we buy them, right, we just c on what we want to pay and what we think the value or what we think we can get it for. Right? The same way. Insurance company. All right. And, and one thing with stadium, it's run by, you know, Dan'S A collector himself. So he, he's very familiar with the lingo, the landscape.

SPEAKER 3: The type one photo, raw cards, graded cards, non sports. All that stuff was covered.

SPEAKER 3: If you listen to the episode. He, he talked about the process. It's, it's not as daunting as you think, a 5, 10 minute video. You can just video your collection or the, or the bigger parts of it and, and that's all you really need. Thanks. Yeah, and, and, and stuff like that. I, I know I speak for Danny. My door is always open. You can message me, email me, call me my numbers out there in Republic.

SPEAKER 3: You know, I get some weird calls sometimes but I don't, don't call, don't call just so you can call, you can call me. But if you're trying to, like, tell me, like, my Nigerian uncle died in a plane crash. I'm, I'm not accepting those calls. But if you have a legitimate hobby, questions where I can help you, that's, you know, I'm a pay it forward, you know, ambassador advocate, all that good stuff.

SPEAKER 3: So, it's important, right? You hear these horror stories. You know, I just read an article where someone broke into a house because they knew there was an expensive car collection.

SPEAKER 3: You know, even growing up, even when my son was younger and, and in school I would tell him, like, don't go to school and say, hey, my dad has this or my dad has that and, you know, for, for out, you know, don't, don't advertise it all the time sometimes I'm like, even posting stuff. You know, I feel funny but you know, at least you have insurance, right? Worst case scenario.

SPEAKER 2: So, all right.

SPEAKER 4: Well, we, we hit over time a little bit but it was for a worthy cause. Thank you, for the questions and, and we say it every, every show but the best chat room in the hobby, without a doubt. And with, without you guys, we're, we're just too blubbering idiots with you guys. We're just two blubbering idiots.

SPEAKER 3: What's the difference? But, all right.

SPEAKER 4: But, but at least we get to share it. So, that, that I appreciate that.

SPEAKER 3: I, I look forward to the chat room as much and I really mean this and I don't want to speak for you, Dan.

SPEAKER 3: I look forward to the chat room as, as much as the show, like the combined, every time we do this every other week. And, it's fun and, I always say if, you know, if someone has to have as much fun as we do, I think that's, pretty good.

SPEAKER 3: And, we do, we do have the best chat room and, you know, we, we appreciate it right. Without you guys, we'd be talking to ourselves. So I do that anyway, in, in my alone time, but that's not as much fun as, as talking with yourself.

SPEAKER 4: Thank you, everybody. Very nice.

SPEAKER 4: That we do need socks. I mean, what do you call if you don't wear my feet are fine.

SPEAKER 3: I just, if you don't wear socks, what at all? What is that called? Like gold commandos for the underwear? Like if you're the person that doesn't wear socks, say good night John. No, I want to know. No. All right. Don't wear socks with sandals though.

SPEAKER 4: That'S A, that'S A, no, no. All right, we, we call it.

SPEAKER 3: No, I'm not.

SPEAKER 3: Say good night John. Good night John.
