SPEAKER 5: That's the releases for you guys. Hope you enjoy the rest of the show.

SPEAKER 1: Let's go round the hobby verse and catch up on this week's hobby news.

SPEAKER 1: All right, folks. Actually a, a pretty quiet Newsweek, one major story or it's not even major, but, I'm interested and it's kind of interesting, a find from a Laminating company of tops finest uncut sheets. 30 total including the four Sports And Star Wars. They range from inaugural year 93 to 95.

SPEAKER 1: Some are marked proof. Some are are just base sheets and then there are a few refractor sheets. Those are her head heading easy for not easy for me to say to heritage auctions. They're gonna split them up in two auctions. One starting on January 5th and the other on February 24th and 25th.

SPEAKER 1: So head to heritage auctions, check out those sheets. They are in great shape because they were covered by white sheets. So the sunlight did not fade them. So they are almost brand new and a pretty cool find a card store in Georgia purchased them and now they head to heritage.

SPEAKER 1: I don't have all the details of Michigan.

SPEAKER 1: Has f signed a deal with a company to do nil and a lot of their memorabilia. I think there's a few other schools that might be part of that package as the nil landscape continues to involve with this segment being short and sweet and not a ton of stuff. I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone out there a happy and safe New Year and, you know, a, a great one on the hobby side as well.

SPEAKER 1: Now, our feature presentation, all right, this week brings another upper deck hockey box battle this time between the 2022 23 XPX and the 2022 23 upper deck Allure hockey products. Before we get into what we actually pulled. Let's go to the tail of the tape and the breakdown of what you potentially can get.

SPEAKER 1: Let's start with the 2022 23 XBX hockey, 90 to 100 $20 in retail price on the secondary markets. One pack per box, you're gonna get, five cards. It's a 200 card set including 100 veterans and 100 rookie cards. Number to, 299 each. There are colored Harlo foils to 149 Radiance to 100 grand finale to 50 NHL Shield cut holograms, really, really cool looking cards.

SPEAKER 1: But o only number to 25 inserts include retros and Hollow Champions. Number to 299 A hologram, shadowbox XPX Force base, all those auto relics and upper deck black insert cards. So that's, that's the, tail of the tape for them. Five cards. Let's talk about the five cards that I pulled. I'm gonna call this the Arbor Xoj box. Cause I pulled two of those.

SPEAKER 1: He's the Canadians rookie. I pulled a radiance effects insert to 549. It's a die cut sort of silver ish, kind of card, cool looking card, rookie. And I also pulled one of those black Obsidian Rookie parallels of him and that's only numbered to 99. So, a low printed, Arbor, I don't know if I'm killing his last name, but Hiko, from the Canadians, the rookie there, the three remaining cards.

SPEAKER 1: I've got a rookie auto jersey from Jake Christensen, which includes a patch. So it's a RP A number to 375. Jake Christensen, defenseman from the Columbus Blue Jackets. I got a finite rookies, card number to 299 of Andre Kuzmenko from the Vancouver Canu and my last card was a base, XPX number to 149.

SPEAKER 1: It's, it's actually purple. I take that back. It's a, purple hollow foil of, my guy from the Rangers, Adam Fox to 149. So those are my, five cards probably not too far off the value. I mean, it's a rookie based product or at least my pack had four out of the five cards were, were rookie. So a lot of it's going to be dependent on the performance, of those guys.

SPEAKER 1: So let's go to the Allure and see their tail of the tape. All right, 2022 23 upper deck Allure hockey, retail about 110, 120. So a little bit less, than the XPX nine packs per box. Eight cards per pack. You will get 72 cards out of your box. 100 50 card set. There's one rookie card per pack.

SPEAKER 1: Base photo variations are one in 15 packs. So not every box, about 1.5 boxes will contain a photo variation. If you get one, they say photo variation right on the back. So you'll know nice touch from upper deck there. Gold glitter bombs are a new insert numbered to 199. Parallels include black diamonds, white diamonds, red, rainbows, orange slice or sliced die cuts.

SPEAKER 1: Glitter bombs and gold glitter bombs, green, Rainbow dye cuts, steel, blue line, pink leopard, purple, diamond number to 10 golden treasures. Basically super factors number to one on one and printing plates number to one of one. Inserts are averaged one in five packs courts one in 12 packs, blockers, one in five, I should say game stints game stats, one and nine iced out one and seven runway inserts.

SPEAKER 1: One in nine packs. Check, please are very rare. One in 90 packs or one in 10 boxes. Doos even more rare one in 100 60 packs. So, over tw one in every 20 boxes. So theos are the super, super rare, various autos, in this product. So, let's, let's get to what we pulled.

SPEAKER 1: I'm not gonna go, through all the base cards. I got, you know, about 40 to 50 of those. One thing I will say about this product. I like this product for probably being a mid-tier product. They remind me of prism, except that every card even the base cards look like hollow oils or refractors, they have that shine to them.

SPEAKER 1: They all look like what you would pull like a prism, a hollow or refractor. So very cool on the design even on the base cards themselves, let's talk about some of the hits that we pulled from this box, a rookie black diamond, Michael Isama of the Winnipeg Winnipeg Jets, a Jacob Markstrom black diamond goalie from the flames.

SPEAKER 1: K nets off from the capitals black diamond. So we got five black diamonds, two more black diamonds Brent Burns from the Sharks and Matthew Kachuck from the flames are my black diamonds. So one black diamond rookie and then four bases.

SPEAKER 1: More colored here. I got a gold glitter bomb of Mark Sheffey of the Winnipeg Jets. Those are numbered to 199. Those are really, really sharp looking cards. Exactly what it sounds like. It looks like gold glitter, hollow foil.

SPEAKER 1: I've got three red Rainbow cards. They are Sam Bennett from the Florida Panthers, and a coar from the Kings and a rookie red Rainbow of Dylan Sandberg from the Winnipeg Jets. I got a gold die cut R and slice.

SPEAKER 1: This is not numbered but it's Matthew Barzel of the New York Islanders continuing on some other inserts. I got a blockers but a red parallel of Jonathan Quick.

SPEAKER 1: I got a blocker, regular version of Jeremy S Swan from the Boston Bruins and a Allure courts, rookies of Lucas Reichel of the Blackhawks not numbered, but that is a die cut card continuing on with some other inserts and iced out Taylor Janet of the Pittsburgh Penguins. A game stills which features you know, kind of in action like freeze frame shots. Mar Martin necks of the hurricanes runways inserts.

SPEAKER 1: I got two. I got Alex La fre la fre from my Rangers. Do you think I know how to say that on the first time? And Trevor Zyrus from the Anaheim Ducks for rookies. These are one per pack. I got so guard from the senators, Jack Quinn from the Sabers Ken Chen from the Coyotes. Carson Meyer, the Blue Jackets, Riley Walsh from the Devils, Nathan Smith from the Coyotes, Chisholm from the Jets.

SPEAKER 1: Oh, Oke from the Devils, Matt Boldy from the Minnesota Wild and, some more color flow, cards here. Let me tell you about, those, they got five red oranges, which they look like the regular cards. But instead of that silver foil, they have the red, a red orange hollow form, hollow foil. The five I picked were Alex Newhook, Brock Boser, Anders Lee, Jordan Harris and Michael is from the Jets there.

SPEAKER 1: So those were my five red oranges. I got two orange yellows. And they are as follows, Sam Bennett of the Florida Panthers and Scott Perano itch from the Saint Louis blues. I got a one yellow green that is Michael Bunting of the Toronto maple leafs and one green blue, Philip Tomasino from the Nashville Predators.

SPEAKER 1: And one more probably the big card. If you will out of the box, it's a auto, it's a full Rainbow auto of Jeremy, Swan, goalie extraordinaire from the Boston Bruins. And that would probably qualify as the big hit, but it was a, a very good, big hit. So I think value wise, I think, you know, when push comes to shove.

SPEAKER 1: I think I did, well, with the Allure and that swimming pool and some of the other, rookies and in color. So, I'm gonna give this, decision to, upper deck Allure for the price and bang, for the buck. But, XPSXPX is a, a fine looking product as well as always, hats off to upper deck for allowing us to re review the product and you guys win as well because many of these cards, will be given away as racks or giveaways.

SPEAKER 1: So, look for that, in the future. So again, thank you. Thank you, upper deck and we'll see you real soon. All right. Thank you for listening to another episode of Hobby Quick Hits.
